What We’re Reading (& Recommending) This Quarter

Here’s a quick dose of inspiration before the next quarter's sprint begins - three thought-provoking resources worth your limited time.

  • This TED Talk by Dr. Angus Hervey of Fix the News is a powerful invitation to question the dominant narratives we often take for granted. To step outside the echo chamber and ask how our patterns of biases and assumptions trap us in narrow, limiting storylines.

  • “The hardest part of strategy isn't finding answers, it's asking the right questions.” This post by Zoe Scaman is a fabulous approach to using generative AI to expand your thinking as you consider a challenge or problem. And as Zoe states in the comments, “These kinds of outputs aren’t instead of other sources like books, films, conversations, or articles, they’re in addition to.” Bonus: If you don’t already follow her Substack, we highly recommend subscribing for some of the most innovative strategic thinking out there.

  • Storytelling and narratives have been on our mind a lot recently. This article on our current failure of imagination discusses the critical need to consider different, better futures and offers some concrete approaches to reigniting our imaginations to start shaping better ones.
